Dave Johnson, the Wandering Pastor, is a former Pastor, with over 25 years in the ministry. He has been a follower of Jesus Christ since 1981. He is the husband of 38 years to Lori, the father of 6 grown children, grandfather to 5 amazing grandkids.

Dave is a practical, down-to-earth teacher who desires, above all, to glorify God by helping others grow closer to Jesus.

Since 2021, Dave has made short, faith-based videos on his YouTube channel, @WanderingPastor7958, grappling with faith and real life issues.

Why ‘Wandering’?

Many have asked about the name of Dave’s blog and videos. What does it mean: Is he ‘wandering’ from the faith?

Not at all.

Honestly, it started out with a backpacking trip to Michigan’s Porcupine Mountains in 2021, where Dave’s son challenged him to start putting feet to his dreams of making a difference for more people. Since he loves the outdoors, it made sense to do these videos while ‘wandering’ the woods. You’ll notice the outdoors a lot in his videos and writing.
